A Community Proposal for St.Francis Fields
Northiam, East Sussex
for Village Consultation

... 'Seamlessly weaving a lost part of our cultural heritage into Northiam's Village life'...

...'A unique community proposal to recreate and capture the ambiance of a lost English Village circa 1870...Unusually the project has to stay small in order to grow'...

Why the Lost England Project?

Community

From a new village pub, employment, and volunteering opportunities, all the way through to affordable rental cottages, increasing biodiversity and getting involved in working the land.

History

To re-establish the now lost ambiance of the late 19th Century English Village is so vitally important, not just for the here and now but for the education of future generations.

Wellbeing

Supporting our mental & physical well-being through tough times has never been so important as now, the project gives us the chance to " step out of the circle " for a little while.

Great Expectations

...An opportunity to pull in the same direction...

The Lost England web pages are absolutely jam-packed full of benefits to the village, essential information, interesting facts and figures, architecture, ecology, site plans, FAQ's and a 'Warts and All' section in the drop-down menu, because keeping the village informed of not only the glossy bits but also progress through the rough patches is a vital key to Village unity in a project.

The Lost England Project has been assigned its own case officer from Historic England!

How You Can Help...

We in the Village are all collective landowners at St. Francis Fields, so the future of this particular community asset is very much in our hands. At the moment this proposal is just that...'a proposal', which is reliant upon planning and funding, and as such, your support for the proposal is so vitally important to engage Northiam Parish Council and the Community Interest Company in moving the project forward only people power can give the project a mandated path to further explore funding routes and planning avenues.

We would really love to hear everyone's feedback on the project proposal, whether near or far, but especially pertinent are the views of our fellow Village residents and those who work in the village.

So if you like what you see within the pages of 'The Lost England Project' and feel inspired to help make St. Francis Fields work more effectively for the village..... Then please email us here at enquiries@thelostenglandproject.co.uk We can then share your views with Northiam Parish Council and the Community Interest Company, who are all volunteers doing their level best to make a difference within the Village.

Thank you for your support!
